Staff Hierarchy & Administrative Structure:

  • District Leadership: The District Transport Officer (DTO) / Motor Vehicles Inspector (MVI) serves as the administrative and functional head.

  • Current Status: The DTO is currently attached to the Office of Deputy Transport Commissioner as MVI Vizianagaram since June 2025.

  • Technical Staff: One Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) assists in enforcement, driving tests, and vehicle inspections.

  • Administrative Support: Team includes one Administrative Officer (AO), one Senior Assistant, and one Junior Assistant.

  • Field Staff Vacancy: There are currently no Home Guards or Constables assisting in road safety enforcement.

  • Geography: Predominantly tribal and hilly terrain with unique vehicular patterns.

  • Total Registered Vehicles: ~33,991.

    • Two-Wheelers: 24,283 (The major mode of transport).
