Paderu ITDA division of Alluri Sitharama Raju District having 11 Scheduled area mandals with ST population is 6.26 lakhs (i.e., 94.13%) and the literacy rate is 32.53% (Male: 40.56%, Female: 24.77%).

All the Tribal Welfare Ashram Schools functioning in Residential pattern from class 3rd to 10th.

Regarding Tribal Welfare Post Matric College Hostels, only accommodation and boarding facility is being provided to the students from Intermediate to Graduation and above.

The GPS (TW) functioning in non-Residential pattern from class 1st and 5th only with single Teacher. The schools functioning on an average 20 students in each school. 77 School Complex Head Masters (Existing Ashram School Head Master) are supervising all 667 Govt. Primary Schools (TW).

MTB-MLE (Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education):

MTB-MLE native speakers in Andhra Pradesh are local tribal community members hired to help young children learn in their mother tongue before moving into Telugu and English. They are often called Mathru Basha Volunteers and are used mainly in tribal-language schools.

Super 50 SSC Coaching Programme in TW Institutions

  • The Super 50 initiative is being implemented in the Tribal Welfare Educational Institutions of Alluri Sitharama Raju District to support Class 10 students in achieving a 10/10 GPA in board examinations through structured mentoring, performance tracking, personalised remedial coaching and motivational programmes.

    • Based on a screening test conducted at Paderu among students of all TW Ashram Schools, 50 students (25 girls and 25 boys) have been selected for this specialised coaching, and the initial batches have shown remarkable results, with several students securing high scores and admissions in prestigious colleges.

    • In view of the positive outcomes over the last two years, the Super 50 programme has now been expanded beyond Paderu Mandal to include new batches at Chinthapalli Mandal of Paderu Division and Rampachodavaram Division of ASR District.

    • The Super 50 initiative implemented under ITDA, Paderu has received wide recognition in the press for empowering tribal SSC students through focused coaching and mentoring, leading to consistently high academic outcomes.

    • During 2023-24, 51 students (21 boys, 30 girls) passed in First Division, with 2 students securing admission in IIIT Nuzividu, 35 students joining College of Excellence, 8 students joining APTWRJC, and highest scores of 585 and 566 out of 600.

    • In 2024-25, all 51 students again passed in First Division, 3 students entered IIIT Nuzividu, 41 joined COE institutions, 6 joined APTWRJC, and the highest score reached 577/600, and got State 1st Rank for Super 50.

    • For 2025-26, screening was conducted on 01-09-2025 at Paderu and 104 merit students (51 boys, 53 girls) were selected, with coaching centres opened at Paderu and Chinthapalli from 07-10-2025.

    • Super 50 students and coordinators have been felicitated by dignitaries at state-level programmes for these achievements.
