A Brief note on the functioning of the Office of the Deputy Director (Extension), Paderu, Coffee Board of India
Coffee Board of India is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, playing a pivotal role in the transfer of technology seed to cup to the planting community through various extension activities like Village Level Workshops, Capacity Building Programs, Exposure Visits, Field Demonstrations etc,. Enriching their knowledge in adopting sustainable coffee cultivation in Andhra Pradesh (Non Traditional Area) aiming in improving the socio economic status of the tribals and to check the Podu /shifting cultivation.
In addition to the above cited activities, Coffee Board plays a crucial role in implementing coffee area expansion and marketing by providing technical and financial support to the coffee growers through nodal agencies of State Government (ITDA,GCC) etc., in the region and also supply certified seed coffee to the planting community for area expansion and Gap Filling.

A Regional Coffee Research Station(RCRS), a part of Coffee Boards research wing was established in 1976 at R V Nagar, G K Veedhi, ASR District, to provide research support to the planting community on development of improved selections suitable to Non-traditional area, integrated management of pests and diseases, collection and analysis of soil samples and render advisory, training on scientific methods of coffee cultivation to the growers, identification and maintenance of seed plots and supply of seed coffee etc., and development of NTA Soil mapping.
The Coffee Board Offices are located at different locations in Alluri Seetha rama raju District and the same is mentioned below.
